A wonderful early 19th Century English creamware jug, Circa 1800, decorated in polychrome enamels. One side depicts “Tom Trulove going to Sea,” with a verse that reads “What should tear me from the arms of my dearest Polly, but the undeniable calls of my country, in whose cause I have engaged my honour and my life.” The other side depicts children and is titled” The Bird’s Nest.”
