A very colourful and decorative Staffordshire pearlware bocage “Tithe Pig” group, Circa 1825. A satirical figure, the farmer and his wife showing their displeasure at having to pay their “tithe” or tax to the church by insisting that the cleric take their pig and child as part of their tithe.
