Unusual Staffordshire Bocage Piper

SOLD

A most unusual Staffordshire pearlware figure of a seated piper with sheep and a dog, Circa 1820. The bocage is unusually one sided, instead of being paired with the same moulding on the back. The figure is unrestored, and has chipping to the upper edge of the bocage and a short hairline with tiny chip to the base. These imperfections in no way detract from the charm of the figure.

Condition: unrestored condition
Size: 5 1/4" tall (13.3cm)
